Elizabeth, please face Chris and hold his hands, palms up, so you may see the gift that they are to you.
These are the hands, young and strong and vibrant with love, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as he promises to love you all the days of his life.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes: tears of sorrow and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will tenderly lift your chin and brush your cheek as they raise your face to look into his eyes; eyes that are filled completely with his overwhelming love and desire for you.

Candle ceremony
Chris and Elizabeth wish to honour those that have given light to their souls, and have helped them by enhancing their lives, both individually and as a couple. Today they wish to thank those people - both those who are with us today, and those that cannot be with us today in the physical form, yet nevertheless are with us in spirit and in our hearts. This candle represents the love that they share.
(light our candles from the kerosene lamp)
(chris)"Through the storm fronts we will ever surely pass to stand as never ending light."
(liz)"Let there always be, never ending light."
Having found each other to share and grow, Elizabeth and Chris wish to share the flame of that love, with all those that have touched their lives. As you light this flame amongst you, let us give thanks for the lives that have enriched us and for all those who cannot be with us today.
(light bridal party- they go and light the audience.)
