Invitation help?

Hello wonderful LJ community!  I need some back up here.  I hate asking "Can I?" since I believe my wedding can be whatever I want, but a little re-assurance or flat out honest opinions are definitely needed.   I have been dreading searching for invitations for months now, but with my wedding 10 months away I thought it was time to get started.  I ( Read more... )

I think your wedding colors can be whatever you want. You don't even have to have dedicated "Wedding colors." As long as you and your loved ones are satisfied and happy - that's what's important!

i'd go with them. you like them and honestly is someone going to bring the invite to the wedding and by like "OH NO! she didn't use her wedding colours for the invite!!"

Thank you! I think it's ridiculous that tons of bridal magazines put picking wedding stationary, as a set, before things like the venue and wedding dress.

Yeah, I got frustrated when a wedding magazine advised that invites have to completely match everything your guests will see at the wedding- and that the font and cardstock should be the same as the menus! No wonder brides go crazy with stress!

Do what ever you want - and orange is a great color! :) You'll probably be mailing it out in the fall anyway - so it will go with everyone's decor :)

Print with blue ink. Orange and blue are opposite on the color wheel. It can work! Just be sure to use a blue that will really pop on the paper.
