Hello everyone! Ok so I am currently debating doing a simple backyard reception. We are only looking at inviting about 55 people . I do not want anything formal at all. Music, drinks, food, bomb fire kind of thing. So we are currently wanting to do a BBQ for the food, having my dad and brothers do this. (my dad wants to and offered my brothers!) We are not wanting to do a structure meal but more of a here is food eat when you want kind of thing.
So anyways, we were starting to think about what to serve here is the idea for menu
~ Chicken
~ Hamburger
~ Bratwurst
~ Hot Dogs
~ Ribs
~ Corn on the Cob
~ Grilled Potatoes with Onion
~ Cole Slaw
~ Potatoe Salad
~ Green Beans
~ Baked Beans
~ Salad
~ Vegetable tray
~ Fruit trays
So here are my questions:
1. How does it sound? Should we add something else? Take away something?
2. How much of each do we get? Or how do I figure this out?
3. We were planning on getting the bunson burner type things (what are they called?) for the green beans, baked beans, but how do we keep the rest warm or cold?
4. (Are we crazy for doing this?) Seriously though any advice?
Also we are thinking of doing wedding cupcakes and also smores 9 (we have a fire pit on the property, soo it sounds like fun) Should we worry about doing any other desserts?
I am SURE that I will have more questions to ask soon but for today, thank you for any help you can give me. It is more appreciated then I can say.
