40 day progress post
This is my first progress post. I read on here a lot (everyday!), but when it comes to taking pictures of everything I have done so far, I get lazy. So I did it today. I took a lot of photos and here is what we have done...
This is us! Kevin and Kelly. We have been together for 6 years!! Engaged since Valentine's Day.
My beautiful engagement ring! I love it! He did a very good job.
Our colors! Pink, Green, Orange and some yellow
We are getting married at Sunset Gardens in Las Vegas. We have lived in Las Vegas for the past 3.5 years. We are originally from Orange County. Sunset Gardens is great because everything is included. The ceremony will be outside and then we have our reception at the same place.
Wedding Party. I don't have a picture of the girls dresses, but they are from David's Bridal. They are really cute and something they can totally wear again.
The 3 pictures above are my dress! I bought it off the rack for $415!! I love it. It is a little heavy, and I am worried about getting really hot it in, but the wedding is in October, so I think I will be good. The last picture is my mom and I, when I went to try on dresses. That is not MY dress, but the style is very similar.
Earrings. I can't decide what ones I want to wear. I will decide when I go for my trial hair and makeup.
My bracelet that I love! I found it at Macy's. I just love the pearls and the diamonds. I also found a headband that matches it.
Headband from Joann's. It was only like $12!!!
My shoes from shoebuy.com. I wear a size 12 and I am tall. So it was pretty hard to find shoes, but shoebuy.com was awesome!
Kevin's wedding band. It is on order from Zales. It should be in in a few weeks. I don't have a picture of mine.
We are going to do memory candles similar to this. We are going to do one for my side of the family and one for Kevins. Both candles will have 4 people on it.
My programs that I designed. I haven't printed them yet and I still have some changes to make.
My bouquet will be the same colors but roses and gerbers.
Centerpieces. We just bought 10 drinking glasses per table (the glasses were like 50¢ each). We are going to float candles in them and have rose petals on the table. Super cheap and cute!!
Candy Bar! We are really excited about our party favors. I have a major sweet tooth! We bought the letters at Michael's and Kevin painted them. I still need to make signs for all the candy.
Guest book. I designed the sheets myself and I had this green basket in my office, so I just weaved ribbon through it. The guest will put the sheets in the basket when they are finished.
Invites that I designed and put together myself. They only cost 75¢ each!! That doesn't include postage, but it includes paper, printing, ribbon, envelopes, etc. I found the invites on clearance at Walmart.
We bought this at Joann's and are planning on decorating them some how and hanging them on the wall behind the head table.
Us opening our first wedding gift. It was a 5 piece luggage set! It will be great for our honeymoon!
Our cake will be similar to this. But not orange, it will be white and the flowers will be a little different. The cake will be square.
Honeymoon in Maui at the Hyatt. We are sooo excited. It will be our first time there. We are there for 6 nights. We booked through Costco and got a great price.
