so exciting stuff --
put the deposit down on the venue today - The Victorian - which is this amazing place in Santa Monica with equally amazing food.
One of my BM's, Janet and I went there for brunch and to give them the deposit and we found out that prices have already doubled for 2008/2009 and will probably go up again because in June they're going to be filming a wedding for the tv-show Platinum Weddings!
So just to sum it up - we got this place for 2007 prices for our Feb 2010 wedding, the prices have now doubled and are going up again and the super pretty house is going to be made even nicer (they're fixing up the patios and terraces and putting in new carpet and re-painting stuff) to make it look good for tv.

and while we were there we got another tour of the place for Janet to see, met the owner who bumped us to the head of the line to get a table for brunch right away and give us 50% off our food. so yay!
