alterations in Atlanta

I know there's a handful of Atlanta area brides here - where did you get your alterations done and were you satisfied with the service? My consultant at the shop where I bought my dress told me alterations average about $500. At first I was thinking about sticking with them because they're the only shop in the state that sells Rivini... but, really, my dress isn't too elaborate, and any good tailor or seamstress should be able to do what I need.

Also, I'm hoping to go for my first fitting soon. Four months out isn't too early if my weight stays pretty constant, right? I really want to get the hem done so I can measure it and order my veil.
