(no subject)
Last weekend Chris, my mom and I went to check out the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, ME. I loved it there but, I seem to be the only one. My mom didn't say anything one way or the other, but that's more than enough for me. I know she didn't like it, otherwise she would have said something. Whenever I ask her opinion, she doesn't have much to say about it. Chris' parents went 45 minutes out of their way to drive past it this week and called Chris to tell him that they didn't like the way it looked and wasn't it too far out of the way? Chris then changed his own mind about it and wants to find somewhere else. Oi...
So after stepping back and taking a couple of deep breaths, I've decided that we might as well check out some other venues. We have more than a year, so it's really not THAT big a deal. I just like SMAC and wish that everyone else had too. Oh well.
We have a meeting tomorrow with Peter, the wedding coordinator of Stonehurst Manor in North Conway, NH. If we decide to go with Stonehurst then we'd probably be looking at their Tent Wedding with Evening Gourmet Pizza Buffet package we'll probably be changing the wedding date to August 23rd or August 30th, 2008 because we'd want it to be warmer out. The more I look at their website, the more I like the looks of the place.
If Stonehurst doesn't work out, we'll be checking out The Brass Heart Inn in Tamworth, NH. The Brass Heart looks cute, I just don't know if I like it as much as Stonehurst or SMAC.
