(no subject)
So we went to NOLA, and The Decemberists were awesome!! I definitely felt like I was back in college again, going to the House of Blues, walking around Decatur, going to Angeli's (delish) after the concert, stepping over bums on the street, and basically being up all night. At the concert, there was much audience participation, which I love. There was this gay guy wearing a pimp outfit in front of me (thankfully he took off the hat when the show started) who danced with this adorable tiny girl with jet black hair who looked like she stepped out of the 20's. You know, if I've got my decades right. Anyway, it was rockin'.
Today I drummed and Pan said I was pretty good. I think I got a blister. I need to write about some seagulls and pancakes and stuff. And make some music. And not have to work anymore. That would be nice. Oh, man.
I also got my nails done yesterday, which is not something I do all that often, but hey, I had a gift certificate. And now they're all pretty and magenta-y.
Another bit of news. I'm on Facebook. Have been for a while. Blasphemy, I know. But it's so freakin' cool! I'm finding all these folks I went to high school with, which is weird, but even weirder seeing the folks my younger siblings went to school with, who are now all grown up. It's like, man, last time I saw that kid, he was in 8th grade! Now he's got facial hair and is in college and stuff. Weird.
Plus it's so easy to use! I recommend.
I also recommend Nacho Libre, which just came out, which I just bought.
Not so much would I recommend the new My Chemical Romance, although I've only listened to it twice, so it might grow on me. But ol' dude's bleached hair will not.
