Pairing: Bradley/Colin

Summary: Colin swore he would never be with someone who was typical. Someone who wasn’t something more or less than wrinkled clothes and untied shoes. Someone who was special. Because Colin knew all the best people were, underneath all that. They were more beautiful than people could see on the outside. They were anything but ordinary.
A/N: This is my first long Bradley/Colin fic. It's my baby. Be gentle and as always comments are <3
Part One When Bradley was a kid there was a girl in his second grade class named Rebecca. She had perfect hair with two sparkly barrettes in them. She had perfect teeth and always wore ironed jeans or skirts. Her parents came from money, old money, and when Bradley went to her house on the weekends so his mother and her mother could have martinis by the pool, he and Rebecca rode horses.
He had his first kiss with Rebecca in her pool after he had dunked her under. She surfaced, laughing and splashing and she gave Bradley that look. You know the look where the girl bats her eye lashes and gives you the shy smile.
So Bradley kisses her. He does not see fireworks. There are no angels singing down from heaven. Nothing changes inside him.
Rebecca was ordinary. There was nothing special about her. Nothing that stood out. In a crowd she looked like everyone else.
Bradley swore to himself that he would never settle for someone ordinary. He wanted to end up with someone who through a crowd of a thousand on a busy city street he would be able to pick out immediately. He wanted someone who didn’t have perfect hair and teeth. Someone who didn’t have perfectly pressed jeans. Someone who snorted when they laughed. Someone who really laughed, not just a joke, but at life in general.
He wanted someone who didn’t care what other people thought of them.
He wanted someone who blurted out things at the wrong times and never apologizes for it.
“Oh.”
Colin had just admitted, in a fit of wet and jealous rage that he, Bradley, should indeed not be with waitress Kristy but instead with him.
And all Bradley could think to say was…Oh.
There were a million things in hindsight that Bradley could have said. He could have said nothing and he believes it would have been better than ‘Oh.’
“OH? DID YOU JUST FUCKING SAY OH? AFTER ALL THESE YEARS? ALL THE FLIRTING AND THE ‘JUST SPEND THE NIGHT COLIN.’ ‘NO DON’T SLEEP ON THE COUCH COLIN SLEEP IN MY BED.’ ‘YOU HAVE THE MOST ADORABLE EARS EVER, COLIN’. AND ALL YOU SAY IS OH?”
Yeah anything would have been better than ‘Oh.’
“I’m…sorry?” Bradley stutters over two simple but such complex words. It didn’t make it better. Colin’s eyes just narrowed more and he took one large step toward him.
“Seriously? That’s all you have to say?” Colin demands.
Bradley considers this. He considers telling Colin he’s flattered. That perhaps there had been times in the wee hours of the morning after the wine had flowed freely that perhaps he had glanced over at Colin and realized in a drunken haze that yes, Colin did have adorable ears.
He could also tell him that they work together and it was only natural that in 4 plus years that people could grow feelings for each other. Even two men.
He could tell him that he’s with Kristy. And that she’s important to him. And he really cares about her. And that maybe Colin just isn’t happy with Ally and he’s projecting feelings he wished he felt for her on him…
But instead Bradley kisses Colin.
It’s sloppy and wet, just like Colin’s hair and jacket. Colin grips Bradley’s bare barely there love handles as Bradley’s hands find their way into Colin’s desperate need for a cut hair and grips it so tightly it makes a soft whimper escape Colin’s throat.
When the kiss ends and both are left breathless with swollen lips, Colin does the only thing Bradley knows he could do.
He slaps him and leaves.
Bradley swore to himself at a young age he’d never settle for someone ordinary.

“Bradley! Could you please stand on your mark? You’re like a million miles away from Colin. Arthur isn’t supposed to think Merlin has the plague or something. Christ!”
The director throws the script down on the ground and sits down hard in his director’s chair. He mumbles obscenities underneath his breath and flails his arms out toward the scene, scowling.
Bradley sighs and takes a few steps closer to Colin, unable to look him in the eyes.
He can feel Colin’s dagger like eyes piercing tiny stab wounds into his head. Bradley winces almost able to actually feel them. When he finally decides to be daring and look up into the blue eyes, Colin quickly looks away, his cheeks turning a crimson color.
Bradley sighs again.

“So you wanna talk about what happened?” Katie bumps Bradley’s shoulder as they walk back from lunch.
“You mean how I screwed everything up and lost my best friend? Sure, let’s just rub some more salt in my open wound.”
Katie rolls her eyes. “My God, you are so dramatic. I have no idea how Colin puts up with you.”
Bradley stops dead in his tracks and gapes at her. “,i>I’m dramatic? He shows up at my flat in the middle of the sodding night, IN THE RAIN NO LESS, and declares his love for me, I KISS HIM to show him I feel the SAME EXACT WAY in which HE takes as a good sign in order to SLAP ME and then he RUNS OFF and I’m the DRAMATIC ONE?”
Bradley is breathing hard staring at Katie, as her eyes grow wider and wider.
“YOU…HE…WHAT?”
“Never mind.” Bradley huffs walking back to set.

Things were not going according to Bradley’s plan. It’s not like he had a plan, because he didn’t, but either way, it wasn’t going according to it. Kristy touched him now and he couldn’t stand it. He had heard through the travel of gossip on set that Colin and Ally were no more. He didn’t want to gloat or be happy about this news, but he could not deny that he was. He didn’t know the details of their demise and he felt perhaps he should go see Colin, as a friend, to ask him what happened and perhaps be a shoulder to cry on.
Bradley James never chases anyone, but he found himself needing to see Colin. All the time. He found his thoughts being consumed by the lanky big eared man. With his blue eyes the color of summer morning skies. He thought about Colin’s hands and how delicate they were when they touched things. He imagined how they would feel against his skin in the darkness. Gentle touches on hot skin.
Yeah, Bradley needed to find Colin. Nothing was going according to plan.

The moment Bradley’s mind realizes he is waking up he immediately realizes how HOT he is. The back of his neck is sweating and he feels as though his body is 200 degrees. He groans; his eyes fluttering open but slamming shut quickly as the sunlight through a window blinds him. He tries to move, but his arm is stuck. He rolls his head to find a black mop of hair inches from his face. He uses his other non tangled arm and pokes the back of the head in front of him.
A slow moan; muffled and low; rumbles the pillow underneath his head. The black mop rises and sharp denim blue eyes meet his.
“God, why is it so HOT in here?”
Bradley can’t breath. He can’t move. All he can do is stare.
“What’s with you?”
“What are you doing here?” Bradley spits out.
Colin rolls his eyes. “This is my flat, Bradley. That’s it. You’re never drinking again.”
Colin rolls away from him and stands, stretching, his bare ass white; the sunlight reflecting off it.
Bradley quickly lifts the blanket to find he himself, is also naked.
His stomach is covered in what looks like remnants of dried cum and saliva. His cock is red and swollen, even at rest.
Colin turns, giving him a slow smirk. “You gonna make me breakfast or what?”
Colin’s neck is covered in red marks. So is his chest. And stomach.
Bradley’s eyes fall to Colin’s soft, but holy fucking shit huge, cock and swallows hard.
“Or we could stay in bed.” Colin crawls back across the blankets and nuzzles his nose against Bradley’s cheek.
Bradley tenses. “Breakfast sounds good.” He scrambles out of bed, searching frantically for ANY article of clothing on the floor. He grabs his jeans and shoves them up and over his bare ass, tripping on Colin’s shedded clothing before finally getting out of the bedroom and into the hallway.
Bradley finally lets out his breath he didn’t even know he was holding.
How did this happen? How did he even END UP at Colin’s flat? And WHY did either of them think it was a good idea to drink when obviously they had A LOT to talk about?
“Bradders?” Colin sticks his out of the bedroom to find Bradley flush against the hallway wall, trying to catch his breath.
Colin sighs. “I knew you’d freak out.”
“What the hell happened last night?”
Colin blinks and leans his head against the door frame. “You told me you loved me.”
