No no don't worry, it's okay! If you look at this post while logged in, there's a little icon with a pencil on it. If you click on that, you can edit in the LJ-cut and rating.

Also, to reply to a comment someone has left on your entry, there's a little link directly under their post that says "(Reply to this)" -- click on that to reply instead of "(Post a new comment)."
