If you could invent a holiday, what and when would it be? What special traditions would take place on that day?
I don't know... Holidays tend to take historical events and make them sort of legendary. And legends are nice and everything, but they never really touch the heart of history - people making choices.
An International History Day would be pretty cool. You know, everybody would find something in history that connected to them and really learned about it. Find out the people behind it, why they did what they did. Know the past, control the future. Live the now.
I don't know exactly how that would work out. I don't want to say people are lazy, but it would take a lot to get them to move on something like this. I think they'd find it was really awesome, though.
