[Zack's had plenty of experience with crazy realistic VR before, but never just for... socializing. It's weird, and he's still trying to figure out the purpose to this place and what places to connect. He doesn't think Rufus is up to something, but he wouldn't put it past the President to send him something like this just to mess with him.

Never been in a VR sim before?

Er. Well, I've play virtual reality video games before. But never been in a virtual chat room!

Didn't know many people could afford video games right now.

[It's an idle observation, not accusing in any way, and he wanders over to a wall and presses a hand against it. It's surprisingly solid, no warp or flicker at all]

More used to combat sims myself. But this is pretty high-quality stuff.

This is the first time I've been in a virtual reality thing that was so complex though. You're usually still somewhat aware of what's going on around you when you're playing the video games.

That's because they don't want you forgetting to eat or sleep or notice that your house is on fire. I've been in sims so real you wouldn't know you were in one if they didn't tell you.

[Turns back and grins at Kaito, raising two fingers in greeting]

[a nod] Yeah. Known her since I was six.

... kinda hard to do when we live in the same dorm, though. Not that I'd want to anyway.

That wasn't really what I meant. [But rather pointedly doesn't elaborate. Topic change!] Man, you guys have co-ed dorms?! Lucky bastard.

They're the Beika dorms, the only co-ed ones around. Not many people live there, either.

Still, gotta be better than the hellhole commonly known as the mens' barracks.

What academy do you go to?
