Nine Inch Nail'ed.

Trent Reznor of NiN is making waves. And it appears to be working quite well for Reznor, who has managed to sell all 2,500 copies of his $300 package without major label backing or much in the way of splashy marketing.
and...Even without a major marketing campaign, the album release generated so much interest that the NiN servers were knocked offline. Reznor apologized to fans, saying, "Sorry again about the hassle. Somebody kicked the plug out of our internets, but we're all set now."
I don't own the album, I know someone who purchased it and I have listened to it. There's not a single lyric to be found on all four albums and it's basically a techno ambience albums. I didn't mind it, but I wasn't expecting it. I'm left wondering if Trent just wanted to get something out there to test the waters or what.
