It looks like Orange, TX (where I grew up) got the worst of Rita, although a catagory 3 storm isn't as bad as it could have been. Reports are saying it was more rain than anything.

I've been trying to remember more about sitting through hurricane Bonnie back in 1984? 85? 86? When I was little. I remember being without electricity for a week or so and I remember being under a water boiling order for a few days. I remember trees laying across streets and on top of houses, but I don't remember much about the storm itself. I sort of remember it being exciting and fun; the wind, the creaking, the lightning, the thunder, the creepiness of when the eye passed over. I suppoose since nothing too terribly bad happened there's nothing to remember.
