Doin' it our way...
So, do you remember a few weeks ago when I was talking about piece meal employment and the desire to do something different everyday? Well, things seem to be shaping up that way. As of this afternoon I have gotten a call for an interview from almost every place that I sent a resume to a couple weeks ago (with the notable exception of the art teaching job). If all goes well, next week I will be a tutor for two different schools and a Youth Development Coordinator for Teen Living Programs. This will make my work schedule more interesting than it's ever been. I'll be working 7 days a week, but Monday-Friday I'll only be working 4 hour shifts in the middle of the day and I'll be on a school schedule (read: school holidays off) Saturday and Sunday will be occupied by 3-11 and 8-4 shifts at a youth shelter in Bronzeville.
This is assuming I get the jobs, of course. The phone calls sounded excited, though...like I'd get hired over the phone if not for the necessity of a formal interview.
This is surreal...being attractive to employers, I mean.
