Phone, locked to Poland

[There's a bit of a hesitation before Estonia talks. And no amount of faking stoic will hide the dread in his voice.]

Did you see the television? We need to do something.

[mayfield: event], shit is going down, teaming up with poland, [mayfield: phone], notbrother issues, event: every time a bell rings

Like, duh. [He's already made up his mind on what has to be done.]

If we want Liet back we have to kill the fake, and if he saw he television too we don't have a lot of time to come up with a strategy.

You're supposed to be the smart one, got any ideas?

I... think if we're going to do it, we just have to go and get it done. It's not like we're coordinating armies here.

[No matter how much it's just as daunting as one.]

I have a rifle. Bring what weapons you have and I'll meet you on the corner of his block.

Okay, well you obviously haven't seen Liet fight before. If this fake one is anything like the real one we're totally going to need an army to take him down.

But yeah I'll collect what I have and meet you on the corner.

Being rationally intimidated by odds is for other parts of the world. We can do it because we have to.

See you soon.

That's like totally a way of thinking I can get behind.

[Hangs up the phone and gathers up the few weapons he's got in the house to go meet Estonia.]

[Estonia simply hangs up, but he's glad that line of logic works. He's not a fighting nation. He's a bounced around until his people can't stand it any more and just do what they can nation. But he needs to fight for this, for Lithuania.

Poland will find him standing at that corner with his gun propped up against his shoulder, standing tall and stolid. Only a little nervous adjustment of his glasses will give away how much he really feels about this.]

Anything you came up with on the walk here, Poola?

[Poland only really had some kitchen knives in the house and some tools that could cause some damage if used correctly in the garage. It hadn't occurred to him to purchase any guns on his last trip to the hardware store, but he figured they could make a quick gun run if needed. But it looked like Estonia already had one, so as long as he knew how to use it they'd be fine.]

Taking him off guard would be the best approach. If we give him time to think of a defense or like even worse a counter attack, we're probably more than likely screwed.

One of us should distract him so the other one can just [Pounds his fist into his open hand.] POW! -- Take him down.

[He nods, careful not to flinch at the pow, as obscene as it felt. They weren't visiting Lithuania's for a good time.]

So who does what?

That depends.

Do you even know how to use that thing? And when I say know how to use it I mean like actually be able to fire it at someone, not "I read about it in a book."

And by someone I mean someone who looks and acts practically identical to Liet.

I can do it. [Although he'll never be the first to pick up a weapon, he's fired more than a few shots over the past century, shots that did the damage they needed to.]

It's easy to pretend it's not him when I know that it's not.

Then I'll be the diversion, you take the shot.

[A short nod, a slight adjustment to the firearm against his shoulder.] We'll move on your mark.

Hold on, I have to do something important first.

[Clasps his hands together, closing his eyes. Quietly mumbling a prayer to himself, he never went into anything this serious without saying a prayer first.]

In the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirt.
God of power and mercy, maker and love of peace, to know you is to live, and to serve you is to reign.
Through the intercession of St. Michael, the archangel, be our protection in battle against all evil.
Help us to overcome war and violence and to establish your law of love and justice.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

[Quiet seriously, a complete 180 from his usual tone.]

Let's go.

[Allowing the other nation his moment for prayer, Estonia looks away, half polite, half uncomfortable. Too many years of tradition have him mumbling an 'amen' at the end of it, though. Not for himself, necessarily, but for Poland and Lithuania, the people faith still holds some weight with. When the moment is passed, he just nods again, and starts off with Poland for Lithuania's house.]

[Luck is with them and not Lithuania for now--he's outside. He did hear the broadcast, though, so it's not as if he isn't wary, it's just that his first priority was immediately keeping the children in the house, all of whom were considered fake, safe. He could take care of himself, and hopefully he'd have enough time to get back inside before anyone took action.

Obviously his timing was off, but he's busy sealing up the outdoor entrance to the basement for now.]
