an update
Happy holidays friends!
So what's going on with me lately? Fiancé and I bought our first home and we closed back in October. Our official move-in date was October 29, 2009. Fiancé was super cute because prior to our move-in, he e-mailed me with a list of things we needed to prepare to make the move lucky and comply with the feng shui. We bought a gift for our house (cherry blossom trees) and also made sure to buy fruits, light the incense and pray to our respective gods. We've been living here for more than a month and had our housewarming last week. So far so good.
I am officially done with my Fall quarter of law school. I still have a 35-40 page paper I have to write, but that is due on January 8, 2010, so I still have time. I've been meaning to start on my paper but what I got so far is a bunch of printed articles and three books. I haven't even read the articles. I suppose I should read them soon, but quite frankly, I have no motivation. I've been busy being domesticated. Fiancé got his two wisdom teeth out two days ago and is still suffering. I've been making him porridge, mashed potatoes, and mango smoothies. I spent a good thirty minutes smashing sausage (until it became puree basically) to add to the mashed potatoes but he said he couldn't eat the sausage so I had to go to the market and make fresh virgin mashed potatoes again. I also burnt my hands trying to make the towel warm so he can put it on his swollen cheek. All this for love, I tell ya.
I won't be taking classes this upcoming quarter. I will be externing at the California Attorney General's office instead doing antitrust stuff. I'm actually quite excited because I really hate finals. Then it's back to Stanford to finish my last quarter of school...and then I'll be done FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! I predict I'll update again once I graduate..til then, take care and have a happy holiday!
