Solstice Night

Giselle was very, very drunk. Also, she was in a hot tub making out with Krista.

Still, she was fairly sure raining blood was not normal. Suddenly, through her muddled senses, she flicked out her tongue and let a drop fall on it. Oh yes, blood. This had suddenly gone from a decent party to a very good one, she thought, pleased.

Sebastian made some noise about the Masquerade. She paused, had Roland call home to check and see if it was raining blood everywhere, or just at their party. The concern met, she went back to nuzzling Krista's lovely skin, heedless of who else was in the room.

When they were finished, a bat with a sense of the predator in him, stronger than a natural creature might have flew in. Chuckling, she poured it a glass of wine in welcome. She wasn't quite sure who it was, but on this night, it did not much matter. Charles, perhaps, or Mordechai come to see her new home at last.

And then the bat decided to use the glass of wine as a bathtub.

It was possibly the best party ever, she thought, downing another glass of the port.
