River has been listening for Del's arrival.

"Delight!" she says, smiling. She waves the Endess into her room.

Del steps into the room, letting the door close behind her, and hugs River tight Hello!

"You came!"

River returns Delight's hug, beaming.

"I told Simon you were coming, but he thought I was playing games."

[mydelerium]

Of course I came! giggling We can surprise him later maybe grinning Does he still think I'm your imaginary friend?

"He looks puzzled when I talk about you, like you're a game with no logical rules."

She shrugs, obviously not too concerned. She's used to the things she says going right over peoples' heads.

"How's the little person, sleeping in you?"

Nodding, that makes sense, poor Simon...

It is good, growing healthy and strong... Only a few weeks. She makes an exaggerated face of suffering and so many months left to wait. grinning, then.

River frowns, then realizes that Delight is grinning and smiles back.

"Creating another person. Such a perfect science."

The whole concept of birth fascinates River.

Only River would think of it as science, but of course she's right... Everything can be science really...

Its a scary thought because they don't know how it will work for me... only Desire has ever had a baby, in its female aspect... and that sibling isn't the best one to go to for help. Patch wants a human doctor I've never met, hopefully she knows magic or something... just in case... a sly sort of smile

I've asked Bast to look after me, too... Do you think that Simon would sometimes? He's only human too, but he's Simon... a giggle, even though she's serious about the idea

River nods seriously. "Of course. Simon can understand things he can see. He'll meet you and then he'll understand and he can help. He's very good at helping."

nodding Maybe I can help him find some way to help you, too. That's always been something she planned to do but never could think of how to approach him about it.

River? chewing on her lip, nervous now that she's gotten around to asking the question she came for the girl Can I ask you for a favor type thing?

River blinks, then nods, catching Delight's excitement.

"Can Kaylee know? She's fond of these situations."

Of course. She can come, too. Del bites her lip... She told Patch she was going to have three, maybe four... why not five? If she wants, maybe she can be a bridesmaid person too... She knows how much Kaylee loves pretty dresses...

"Simon would like that," River says with a sly smile. "He likes Kaylee."
