Utena Rewatch! (7-12)
I was going to post this yesterday but then I had a sudden need for sleep.
Episode 7
-Utena is such a smartass to her teachers.
-So, Juri wants the Rose Bride for the supposed power behind her, presumably because she thinks that power will help her break free of whatever issues she has (or something). And Utena does not seem to give two shits about this power.
-I see Juri also enjoys bitchslapping.
-I don't really get Shiori. Maybe I will later. IDK.
-Poor, crazy Juri.
-Weirdly enough, the scene where Juri freaks out on Utena made me ship them a little bit.
-And Utena freaks out as well. She still has some prince-related issues to work out, I see.
-Juri duels pretty dirtily, doesn't she? Always tossing Utena around and whatnot.
-Anthy that was mean.
-I'm kind of agreeing with Juri here. Everyone needs to mind their own business and stay out of her personal life.
Episode 8
-Ohgod this episode. I'd forgotten it was here.
-I love how Utena can go from serious business to utterly cracky in three seconds flat and even occasionally confuses the two without ever actually ruining moments or anything. That takes something.
-And Utena thinks Saionji and Anthy are up to dirty stuff. Silly Utena, he's way too much of a loser for that.
-Saionji continuously amazes me with how much of an absolute tool he is.
-...Yeah, I didn't really have much to say about this episode. It was funny, at least.
Episode 9
-Y'know, sometimes I really feel sorry for Saionji. Even if he is a giant douchebag.
-And Saionji wants eternity. Or Touga's ass. I can't decide.
-Poor little!Saionji. Touga basically just walks all over him.
-Touga wants to be a prince, at least in the flashback. But he fails at it later in life because he has too much ambition, and is ultimately selfish.
-Utena's coffin's=Princess Tutu's despair.
-So Touga's little seduction plan is getting some more development. Lovely.
-This episode is creepy. Especially the later half.
-I'm sorry you're absolutely psychotic, Saionji.
-Ooohh, Touga's having a conversation with ~*End of The World*~
Episode 10
-Dammit Saionji, stop making me feel sorry for you.
-Nooo, don't think those things Utena, this is all just a part of Touga's evil plan!
-Nanami a kiss is not something you ask your big brother for. It just isn't.
-I love how the crowd ignores the fact that Nanami just bitchslapped two people, and focuses on Touga and Utena instead.
-Nanami occasionally reminds me of Rue. If Mytho was Rue's brother and Rue was two-hundred percent crazier, that is.
-Nanami's swords are so cool.
-Also her duel song is badass.
-...You know what, she even looks like Rue a little bit when her hair's down. See?
-Touga, you are a giant dickbag and I hate you.
-...Um, in case you haven't figured it out from all my inane writings, I kinda love Nanami more than I probably should. I can't help it, honest.
Episode 11
-Wakaba continues to be totally the cutest thing ever.
-Just because she doesn't have a man doesn't mean Utena's lonely, Touga.
-Fuck you Touga Anthy is way too cool for her birdcage.
-Mostly the next few minutes was just an endless stream of Touga hate.
-Oooh, I know what the shadow girls' play was about! Lol metaphor for all the Rose Bride shit.
-You know, I think this duel is the first time we see where the hell the Sword of Dios actually goes.
-Oh god Utena. ;_;
Episode 12
-Man I love Wakaba in this episode. So awesome.
-Even the student council knows Touga's a giant dickbag.
-Leave Utena the fuck alone, Touga.
-Wakaba is just so badass in this scene. Lol bitchslapping.
-Anthy you are so fucking creepy.
-So now Utena's gone to take back herself. Which evidently means taking back Anthy, because herself is a prince who wants to save Anthy. Or something.
-Anthy's inner monologue during the duel is weird. I love the moment where the cries, though.
-I love Touga's face when he loses.
