Aww, I thought it would be a story of Rue finding her family again post-series. But this is very sweet as well. I love the character you created for her sister. Difficult as it is to imagine a Rue before the Raven, you've managed to create a very clear picture of what her family life was like for that brief time.

Thank you! And, truth be told, I originally wanted to write it post-series, but I ended up decided to go the more wistful, tragic route.

Argh! Sorry I'm so late to this! I was out of town and then life got mean.

In any case, this was a lovely, heartwarming piece to find waiting for me. I love catching this glimpse of a younger, more vulnerable (well, she is always vulnerable, she just learns to hide it better as she grows older) Rue. Eva in many ways reminds me of Malen (but that might just be the quiet/shy drawing connection) and part of me always was curious to see what it would be like if Malen and Rue ever spoke.

All my rambling aside, thanks for the lovely present.
