Dr Who / LotR drabble
Also posted at OSA in response to the drabble challenge #16 'Crossovers', this is a drabble crossover with the new Dr Who series and LotR.
“So, where are we going again?” asked Rose, trying to fathom her companion’s the mutters and movements.
“Just somewhere to land, make repairs,” replied the Doctor. “Let’s see shall we? We’re nearly there.”
He flipped switches and the air above the console became a picture. Rose looked on, almost used to seeing alien places. Yet what appeared on the scanner made her recoil. It was a mass of flame, with one great black slit. An eye, suspended atop a fortress.
“What is that?” she breathed.
“I don’t know,” said the Doctor. “But whatever it is, we’re about to meet it.”
