I'm never going to stop being a dino-nerd. I pulled out my box of whale-toys and dino-toys because I found a neat forum:
DinoToy Forum. Guys, I'm ruined now. I look at everyone elses' collections of Carnegie, Safari Ltd, Procon, Papo and I am terribly envious. This is a dangerous thing. D: I want em all.
Anyway, I've been doing some thinking and although I'd collect more dinosaurs (sauropods and marine-reptiles) I have a tic with all replica restorations of prehistoric mammals. They never feel... right. Especially little Hyracotherium leporinum. It always looks like a 'plain vanilla' mammal. So to correct that I'm sculpting one as I want to see it. I think it's 1/30 scale (I'll check again) but it's going to look neat.
Here are some pics of it in the rough-stage. You can even see the sketch I made for reference beside it:
Personally since it is a paleothere that means it is related to both rhinos and horses I want to give it some scaled down rhino-ish bulk with dainty little legs. Legs and toes will kill me on this thing. D:
Also, I am going to try and get some art into 'Prehistoric Times' for December. They want prehistoric whales and/or Troodon. I went with prehistoric whales instead. <3 Here's a small preview of what I have so far. Kinda thinking of spy-hopping Basilosaurus in my mind:
tl;dr: DINOSAURS EVERYWHERE!
I don't know about you all but I've been feeling more energized about doing stuff. Maybe it's because
clockworkangel came to visit almost 2 weeks ago. I think it helped me a lot. Being alone out here I was so isolated that seeing a friendly face for a change really made things better. Thank you so much for visiting me. <3
Let us see, I'm taking two more classes at PCC (Lake Park was late with my transcript for CSU-Pueblo) and one of em is a math class. Boo math but it is Math for Liberal Arts. I think I'm going to like it. CSU-Pueblo I'll try and get to you for Spring semester this time!
Question: Did you get sunburned this summer? Bad burn or normal burn or don't burn at all?
