Boo-Who-Cares?

Gawd, I've gone through 8 journals/posts/twits like that today. What is going on? I just don't understand it. These are then paired with a, 'My parents don't understand my art which is why they hate me/it'. Well duh. Talk to them about it. Art is not something to be ashamed of/hidden away. Unless you're drawing porn or something then hide it. I think that there are a lot of people out there on the Internet and in the world that are not proud of their work. Well, then why paint, draw, sculpt or whatever and not be proud? It doesn't make sense. It's perfectly natural to be proud/enjoy showing your creation.
In high-school or middle-school it is so easy to hide your doodles and drawings with a disgusted glare. Covering it up to hide. It is difficult to break out of that habit and embrace that folks want to see what you're working on. I also understand that some of us are shy and not social-butterflies but gosh, how is anyone going to understand you if all you do is show them some drawing without explaining why you drew what you drew. It bugs me because I'm seeing more and more posts/journals/twits like this and it's just not a good image for anyone. Unless of course they actually like the hurt-creative-genius routine. I encourage all shy artists to share their artwork with others.
Art is meant to be shared. It is selfish to keep it to ourselves for fear of ridicule.

-Best ending to a Pokemon game ever! Best! Holy moly, I screamed with joy at the conclusion. <3
-I bought new watercolors (Pentels) because I really liked the ones we used in high-school for some reason.
-BUT I forgot the paper. D:
-Talked to Mom and Dad about RMCAD. We decided that with my current record to do some classes at CSU-Pueblo for a year and then I could see about RMCAD. I have a goal. I'm going to get there someday and there is no shame in getting there 'late'.
-AMAZING RACE I love you. Jet and Cord are still the best. Finally got their act together. Go cowboys, go!
-DOCTOR WHO! Series 6 premieres April 19th! Hooray!
