Summertime in Illinois

May 27, 2010 16:04

Phew! It's only 75F here but it feels HOT. At least until we hit the 80-90 range. Got ceiling-fan going to stir the air (and dust). I dislike air-conditioning because it's too-cold and my nose gets dry and you're never prepared to go out because if it's hot you start sweating the moment you step-out. Which is why we love open-windows and our ceiling-fans. Still warm but with a breeze. :3 Plus, in Illinois it's like once you're into June/July it's humidity-land. Not fun. Thank you for the dry-heat of the West. I'll take heat over humidity any day.

Lots of boxes. We're getting down to the wire on the 'Moving the Animals to Colorado'-trip. Sorting out cars and stuff. Packing a suitcase for each of us.

@Alex: Hey hun, you should start to check the weather-forecasts for Pueblo, Colorado on what to wear.
@Heathlar: We can go out for cool-drinks one day?

Just kicking back from arranging stuff in boxes with a homemade iced-coffee (mmmmmmmmm!) and trying to finish the service-golems. They are difficult to shade. D: Hmmm, I feel the urge to blast my Oldies. It's not summer without Oldies. >.>

My question is: Do you prefer air-conditioning or fan/open-windows?
