Shite Disability Support

Well I finally got to see the carpets. I Was very disappointed with the general staff attitude and the often inaccessibility of the huge store but I'll come back to that in a bit. I found a simple mat £3 to replace a damp destroyed one and then a gorgeous teal fluffy rug that I'm thinking about. I was rather disappointed with the choice of carpets however. Most rooms will have the same, bathroom, sunroom and maybe kitchen to have different.
So onto the staff, upon arrival a member of staff spotted our unloading the powerchair and was waiting by the doors, holding the shut door open to assist with access, a good start. Promising. During our visit there three guys asked if we needed help, two asking my mother and me, the Third asking my parents Behind me As he walked past me. To be honest I am so used to it that I don't notice but it pisses my mother off. Even my father in his very snipy mood today noticed it. Some aisles too narrow to get down, some wide ends blocked to me with unevenly positioned display blocks with not enough space to negotiate the turn. One area that led to the entire back section was blocked to me because a load of rugs had been dumped on the floor. I went down the aisle intending to come up the next one, serious angle challenges and blockages meant no to that idea. I figured I'd go around further down, again unevenly positioned display stands with uneven rugs piled on top meant a serious squeeze with much negotiation INCLUDING past a desk close enough to touch with a guy working at it who failed to acknowledge me in any way. I managed to get past, negotiate more uneven display stands then discovered that there's no customer access from there around the bits to the bloody area I was trying to get to that was blocked off because of the rugs all over the floor! So I have to turn around and negotiate the whole fucking lot again only this time the angle by the desk is too sharp what with the heavy chair for customers in the way so I have to try to push it out of my way to get past with the Same Guy Sitting at the Desk inches away from me pretending I don't exist!! Get back to the top and my parents are looking for me. When I say I can't get through my father questions it! He then went to find someone to move the rugs, I don't blame the staff for that, it's 90% likely that customers did it but they should check, he piles them back up. Better. Though although I attempt to chat with him about the destruction customers can achieve its only afterwards I realise that he wasn't really engaging with me. Not an empowering experience and not a good shopping experience 😕
