Georgie Morrell - Her brother still pranked her even though she'd gone blind

Apr 01, 2017 04:41

This is another video from the BBC Ouch Storytelling Live event by Georgie Morrell who is blind. I found this story particularly poignant because of the similarities to my own experiences. The way she talks about her mother having to help bathe her at 21, and how she felt, oh hell, been there alright 😢
But then her brother played a trick on her, knowing that she was upset over her situation he very kindly brought her a glass of water which she was just about to drink when her mother grabbed it from her hand. Her brother had put a spider in the glass 😱 And it changed her whole life, her outlook, her coping mechanism! We disabled can develop a very dark, morbid, deranged sense of humour to cope with the things life throws at us. Her story is great, give it a watch if you're interested 😊

Georgie Morrell -My brother still pranked me after I went blind
"Georgie Morrell lost her sight in her early 20s and had to give up her "sexy London life" until her brother played a prank on her - and taught her how to laugh and live life again."
