A Good Day, Treats, Sunshine & Gardens :-)

The kinky couple have arrived :D :D They're great :D Pics to follow tomorrow I hope :D I'm over the moon with them :D

Anyway, it's been a very busy day, the water butt and compost bins/base etc arrived on Thursday. The delivery guy rang me to say I'm at the stables where are you, till I asked him how tall the stables were there (three storey) and told him he was at the wrong stables and still had another mile to go to find me at my stables LOL And so Tilly arrived to move the plant pots for me, (I have an old bidet with a tub of oregano in it in the garden!) to make room for the butt and stand, then my parents arrived with my shopping, my father then had to drill the water catcher thingy for the drainpipe to feed the water barrel and Tilly also tried to clear the gutter as best as possible. As my roof is covered with deep green moss, every time it rains it moves to block the downflow bit where the roofs join as my home is an L shape. Then Tilly had to move the compost bin to fit the base on it and then put the compost back in LOL Thank goodness for Tilly, and all his strength, he really is my best mate. Even when I was well some of that wouldn't have been easy for me. Still I sent him home with a tin of Pert Peppermint Nipples and he was fine :D

And then my parents took me through to Helmsley. Where I got treated to two new miniatures for my mini house from Doll Mixture. This one is by one of the miniatures specialists and my goodness the attention to detail is outstanding! My father bought this for me, a miniature 12th scale, Wobbly Man toy in the shape of a witch (how could I not have her?!) From the bottom to the top of her head she is only 5/8" high, with her fabulous hat she is then just 1 1/4" high!! It wasn't until I took the pic that i realised she has a tiny pink patch on her nose!! You can't see it by the naked eye!

It was a great day although we didn't get there until gone 3pm. Even then there were hardly any parking spaces left, not even blue badge ones! We got the last disabled bay and were off on our way. It was really beautiful, the sun was shining brightly, the birds were singing, I got treated ;-) Then treated myself as I fell in love with this figurine. She is 15" high and I have nothing like her at all, and yet, she totally and utterly appealed to me. The red isn't as bright as the pic makes it, it blends in so well with the black, and her pose, and well everything I fell for. My father was amazed as it's not like me at all, least of all for this type of figure but she was beautiful. It must be appealing to some inner sense, maybe a reflection of me? Apart from her slender waistline that is!! ROFLMAO I'll have to empty the piggy bank tomorrow and see what's left *eek*

Tapestry Garden was a little disappointing, very little garden statuary, and half the garden closed off, but loads of stitchy stuff inside for us crafty folk so I got to look about even if I didn't buy. Took this photo of Helmsley Castle through their archway although the sun was exceptionally bright :(

Helmsley is only tiny, a few shops and you're done, it's like all the towns round here, but nice for trips out. It's just nice to get out the house especially when you end up being treated and treating yourself :) But my gods, it was freezing by 5pm, you could see your breath and my knees and legs started to seize up. My face was frozen and my nose blue. Oh joy LOL But I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed today :) I woke up this morning with sunlight streaming through the curtains and the day carried on in the same vein, perfect :)

And hey look, it's Saturday night it's almost 4am and Tilly hasn't rung me ..... yet LOL

good surprises, pics, garden, mini house, miniatures, helmsley, bargains
