Gonzalo wakes up from a choked sound in the distance.
Immediately, he feels surrounded by air too chilly to feel comfortable enough to allow healthy sleep, but what troubles him more are the rumpled but cold sheets next to him, the empty other side of the bed.
Another choked sound has Gonzalo swinging his legs out of bed, stepping into the cold, dark room. He feels a cold breeze now, unmistakeable proof of the balcony door being open.
He is stumbling trough the room now, hurrying, sure that his lover stands out there way too long already, the crutches laying on the floor almost causing him to fall over, twice.
When he reaches the balcony door finally, the strikers slips out of it without a sound, into the open, leaving the safety of their shared room behind.
He wraps his arms around Ezequiel from behind, feeling his lover shiver and shake when a sob forces it's way out of his body again, a cloud of his own breath hanging in the air.
Gonzalo only holds Ezequiel close, his front pressed firmly and warm against Ezequiel's backside, heartbeat against morally broken spine. Both Argentinians listen to how the sobs still echo in Ezequiel's chest, but as well to how their heartbeats slowly adjusting to the other.
Then, Gonzalo takes the defender's hand into his own and gently tugs his lover into the direction of the door, back into the warmth.
Gonzalo still doesn't say a single word, but when Ezequiel turns around and their eyes find each other, the striker is sure that Ezequiel understands him, anyway.
He knows that the defender knows the unspoken vow of his when Gonzalo leads him into their bed again.
