who cares if it's just a certificate?!

so i've hit a bit of a hiccup in my schooling. today i got up around 9ish and found that a letter had arrived from Owens. i figured it was just one of those random letters they send out stamped/signed by the president. turns out, it was a letter from Financial Aid letting me know that my loans can't be used to pay for a certificate program.

yeah. i know.

so now i can't pay for school. awesome. yay.

blah.

but i mean, i kinda think it might have been a blessing in disguise. this past thursday i had my a&p class. we just started out with the digestive system, centering on the mouth. O M G. i had no idea that there were so many different parts that you have to memorize. AND IT'S JUST THE MOUTH! i mean, we haven't even gotten down the throat yet. there's so much more stuff after the throat!! did you know that? i was just sitting in my chair, my mouth hanging out, trying to figure out how in the hell i was going to get all this shit memorized. i mean, i don't even remember all the short-cut keys for the design programs i learned. i was scared, it's as simple as that. i was terrified i wouldn't be able to do it, and now that i know i won't be able to continue on, i'm so... happy. i mean, i'm so relieved.

BUT ANYWAYS.

i talked with my mom about things, and i think we figured out something to do. they have a degree in office adiministration, which is just a big fancy way to say secretary, which will be totally easy for me to get through. it's a two year program, but i've taken a few of the classes already for graphic design, so that's a bonus. plus, since it's a 'real' degree financial aid will help pay for it.

it's the plan right now anyways, i just talked about it today. on monday i'm gonna hit up the financial aid office and make sure that i can switch things over to the OA degree. maybe even try to get into a class or two that i wouldn't have missed too much of.

it's been a very hectic day. any questions?
