so my final film for digital video turned out great. i'm pretty happy with it. granted, i ended up editing A LOT out that i wanted in, but i was already over the 3 minute mark by 40 seconds. if i ever find a cracked version of avid, maybe i'll do a director's cut and re-release it. heh.
that means i just have to show up to class next monday and i'm done with digital video. in the end, the class wasn't terrible. i still think it wasn't a smart move to make our first assignment a group project. luckily, i had a good group, but still. learning a new program and trying to work around three other people's schedules for shooting was a pain in the ass. i'd rather had a solo assignment first, just to learn the program. all in all, i won't give jo-anne too terrible of a grade on myspace.
today i have one of my last digital photography classes. there's still one more assignment i have to do. it's much more open then the rest. we just have to turn in five pictures that are related somehow. like they're all of trees or dogs. i'm doing road-signs. i figured it'd be easy to find them and snap a few shots. i'm not that worried, so long as the weather gets under control here in ohio.
in class today i have to finish my other two
hockney photos. i thought this assignment was fun, but the weather was just so shitty. when i was taking pictures of the rundown barn by tom's house, my fingers were numb; i could barely push the shutter button. hopefully they turn out okay, cause there's no time to re-do them.
