man! it's been such a busy weekend! all kinds of fun things have happened.
FRIDAY
friday was obviously comic con and OMG it was so much fun!! the trip to Novi was filled with Thomas's 'what colour am i thinking of' game, which i WON! go forest green!
when we got there, tom and i split off from ashley, teri and amanda, cause tom wanted to spend some time going through all the dollar boxes we could find. MOST RANDOM COMICS EVER! we totally found a Willow comic! tom bought them. i didn't get much, but still ended up spending a lot of money.
i got X-Men #244, a.k.a. the first appearance of Jubilee. it's graded, a 9.8 and cost me $65, but i got a second copy with it so i can still read it. i was really excited about it. then i found the anime guy from www.anotherheaven.biz and bought Perfect Blue and the set of Miyazaki movies that i've wanted since forever. ended up spending $110, which compared to past cons, isn't so much.
then we almost got lost trying to get out of the parking lot.
after we returned, i found out that my bow came in at Clelands so me, my dad and Tom ran out to get it. i feel in love like woah! it's so awesome! the guy, mike, set up my sights and rest, and tom got to laugh at me as i practice with firing and fixing the sights. plus, i got this nifty sling that will hopefully help me with holding the bow.
sadly, i didn't get to take the bow home. turns out, the last time me mom used the checkbook, she used the last one and forgot to put a new book in. i had my money to cover my bow, but none of the accessories mike had just put on it. so, i had to say goodbye to my bow and promised i'd be back the next day.
after that, tom came back to the house and we watched Ninja Warrior for about three hours and he left.
which leads us into...
SATURDAY
we got up early and went to get our bows. my dad got his sight put on and a new peep, and in the end we got to walk out of Clelands with our bows! mine is leaning against the wall right now, with my little stack of arrows next to it, just waiting for something to kill. heh. i can't wait to get the target set up so i can start practicing. there's a couple of free tournaments in a few months, and i'm hoping to maybe take part in them, but i really need some practice before that.
when we got home, i helped my dad move the shed. yes, MOVE THE SHED. he's wanted to build a garage in the backyard for awhile now, but first we had to make room for it.
last weekend we tore the pool down, which included me falling into the new pit and jessie almost taking my head off with a crow-bar. this weekend, we moved the shed. 23 feet. the shed is HUGE and we moved with 23 feet. it was amazing! my dad put these steel rods under the shed, after lifting it with a train-jack, and then moved it over with this pulley thing. yeah, not easy work. i tried pulling the chains to make it moved. i think i got a total of five inches. go me. XD it only took a few hours, and the shed was done. SO FUNNY to be inside and just see the edge of the shed crawling away. it looked like it was sneakily trying to escape.
whence that was finished, we again partook of the Ninja Warrior marathon running on G4 this weekend. ashley and i stayed up till 12:30 watching it. then i ran her home and came back to go to bed.
SUNDAY
today! we went to breakfast then ran to the store. it's been a shockingly slow day compared to the last two. i like it. i need to spend some time back here cleaning my room, get rid of some stuff i don't need anymore, all that jazz.
basically, i'm exhausted from everything we've done and would very much like to semi-relax.
wow, that was a long story. i think i'm done now.
