Damnation, of all the days for my friend with an awesome camera to be out with his boyfriend the whole day... Meh, never got photos of my project. That's what I get for procrastinating.

Out of curiosity, how long were you planning on leaving voting open for? I for one would like to be able to read through each entry thoroughly before voting, so having the polls open for a couple of days for us slow readers might not be a bad idea.

Not on one person's account. That's unfair to the responsible people who actually got their stuff in on time.

Someone else asked for an extension, actually. I'm a little hesitant to get into the precedent of extensions, but not entirely disinclined.

I personally wouldn't take advantage of an extension. You gave us, what, three months to do it? Now, if LJ went down at some point in the 48 hours before the deadline I'd be fine because some people have tight schedules and can only post at certain times, but I'm just plain lazy and a procrastinator, so I don't feel right posting now. But that's just me.

Heh, considering how everyone posted this week, seems like everyone is a procrastinator. Hell, I'm a procrastinator who hasn't dug up an image for the prize banner yet.

I hope you get access to that camera!

Y'know, I'm going to split the difference. An extension to midnight tonight. With not quite 10 hours knowledge of it, it's not really going to benefit anyone 'cept those who have already completed their projects and are having technical difficulties. I'll make the post.

This also means I can put off generating the poll post for a few more hours....

Sounds fair. I'll bring my project to the Unreal Tournament LAN game tonight, and my friend shows with his camera, great, and if not, great.
