*hugs* Really, he should have done the sensible thing and followed the order to abandon the man. Instead of Dr. Watson dying (and he was under anaesthetic) Carson made decisions that risked the lives of himself and the Asian doctor as well as Watson, then managed to get the bomb disposal marine killed alongside himself. I didn't cry. At all. I did however nearly cry when Teyla got skewered in the explosion. It's odd. I still miss Janet in SG1, yet I watched Carson have a messy death and was more bothered by the first showing of the explosion. :(
that did get me to but i LOVE carson and i thought it was ironic how the solder didnt die but carso did (remember burned man at the end of the epi) i think what made me cry the most was ow the memebers of atlantis reacted to the death rodney was so broken up aout it same with ronon and teyla i think in the beginning when teyla was talking to that scientist she was talking about carson and not john like i originally though
The burned man at the end of the episode could have been one of the twelve injured when Doctor Houston's tumour exploded. And oh my god, there's a sentence I never thought I'd utter! I thought she was on about her marine, and then I thought (at the end) that maybe it could have been Carson, that would have given her plenty more encouragement to get out of bed injured and stand at his memorial. So I get Teyla being cut up about it, but Rodney... I didn't see the friendship there. Carson was mean mean, not banter mean with Rodney when they were on screen a little too often.
i think that was the writters way to try to detach of from carson this season because they knew he was going to die though looking back at the screencaps john and rodney just look so wrecked when there holding the coffin
