I was reading over my flist and you know what i started to notice people are becomeing so negative and obsessive about fandoms yes i love fandom im a avid HP and SGA fandomer (which i also dabble in firefly) but I don't see how people can be so mean and rude about other peoples fandoms just becuase they don't like the same thing

I'll never get that negative stuff, either. I read in so many different fandoms and always have. Tastes are so very different, it's nice that there's always something for everyone.

I really try my darndest to ignore the flaming and infighting and just get on with reading my fanfic and being entertained. RL has enough negativity to last me forever. *sigh*

Exactly i read to get away from RL and i hate taht i get that negative in both RL and LJ it just makes me so mad

Yes. It's a very sad thing indeed. I want to shout out, "PEOPLE! This is FANDOM! We're here to have FUN!!!". Sheesh!

they get so caught up in it that im scared sometimes for those people that they think there life is fandom

I imagine they're that negative about all aspects of their lives. I'm sure glad I don't have to live with all that anger inside of me all the time. Just looking for something or someone to pick at!

Mostly, I'm just very happy there's so much entertaining fic out there for me to read. =>}

yes I am so with you some of the things i enjoy most about my day is a fabulous and well written fic and making my fandom graphics from icons to headers to banners
