Movies:)

Well here's some movies I've seen:)

Movies:

The Village:
Despite part of the ending being ruined for me I still enjoyed this movie:) Yes there were some stereotypical characters but the part of the ending that hadn't been ruined for me was an interesting surprise and made me think. I also enjoyed the main romance in the movie. So out of all M. Night S's movies I've seen my favs have probably been this one, the Sixth Sense, and Signs. Unbreakable, although making you think at the last two seconds of the movie, was just a little to slow and dark for me. The Village is about some townsfolk who live in an isolated village because of a monster that lives in the woods will attack least any leave. This becomes a problem when drugs/medicine are/is needed to help a villager.

The Day After Tomorrow:
I enjoyed this movie and now see why the ladies like Jake Gyllenhaal:) Any way an interesting movie that deals with the world going through the next ice age. It deals with the world but also the story of a climatologies (Dennis Quaid) trying to rescue his son trapped in New York City. Again the romance was nice between Jake's character and Laura. The movie did make me shed a tear of two. If you love books (lol) and get emotional with evacuation scenes you'll cry too. Just a good movie with a good cast of characters to while away the time.

King Arthur:
Well might as well put one I didn't enjoy so much lol. Despite a few good scenes it was a rather boring movie. I think it was the writing. Basically it was set back in Dark Ages and King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table are sent on one last mission before they can get their discharge papers and be free from Rome. Merlin runs his own sect of Britons and of course Arthur has to meet one of that sect-Gwenivere. Arthur must choose where his allegence lies, to Rome or to the British people. So it was somewhat interesting, heroic, and funny, but overall it was not that great.

Lemony Snicket:
Not the greatest movie ever, but good nonetheless:) If you enjoyed the books you'll appreciate the movie. One of the problems, having read and enjoyed the books, was that the movie combined the first three books so the movie went very quickly glossing over a lot, rearranging a few things in the timeline, and putting a lot more clues in the movie that don't really come up in the books until later (or maybe I just missed them while I was reading). The kids were great together trying to thwart the forces against them, I loved Uncle Monty, and Jim Carey was good as Count Olaf. Loved Sunny's lines:) Was also pleasantly surprised by a number of the cameos in the movie. Each kid has his or her own unique talents and it was nice to see them all come together. Good costumes, acting, and writing.
