Okay, British Airways, you and I are THROUGH. They canceled my flight for TOMORROW. So I said EFF this and got a new flight with Swiss Air. Let's hope the twits refund my money. I understand that England's not very well-equipped for this weather, but this is INFURIATING...especially coming from a region where we have to go about our business in snow and ice and subzero weather on a regular basis.
Anyway, I should get there at about 8 PM on the fifth, and this time I really, really don't have to connect between Heathrow and Gatwick -- just a nice, peaceful connection in Zurich. So screw you, British Airways, and screw you, Winter! YOU CAN'T STOP ME FROM GOING TO A MEDITERRANEAN ISLAND WHERE YOU DON'T EXIST!
ETA: What a MESS. My travel agent was miffed because we did something without her (whatever; it's a better deal anyway -- no freaking Heathrow/Gatwick transfer and only about $50 more expensive, and no overnight stay in London on the way back -- just the taxi and hotel getting eliminated saves me almost $200 already) -- but we should get a full refund on the British Airways trip, she says, she just has to go through some consortium or something and it screws everything up -- my program manager is trying to call me but didn't leave any message about what she wanted, and I can't get or make any international calls on my cell phone (she called my parents' house); I don't know what's going on or who's going to try to call me next or what I'm doing once I get to Palma -- but whatever. I'm going to Palma tomorrow night, assuming the airline hasn't overbooked or some shit, and everything will become clear once I arrive. I just hate uncertainty and I'm a little stressed out over all this. I HATE AIR TRAVEL. Everything should be connected by undersea trains.
I'ma go pound a couple and take a long, hot shower!
