Life on mars
The last episode is finished and all I can say is....I really doubt the american version is going to be any good *lol*
Apparently, someone, somewhere said this was a clear ending...*meep*
This was a wow episode - I cried, I winced, I hid behind my pillow and fought the urge to cover my ear and sing.....
Poor Sam - at least in the end he seems to have decided where he belongs - even if it's not all that clear whether it is or not.....
Sam seemed so horribly insane for most of this episode - it made you begin to think that Morgan was telling the truth (which is something you don't want - cos that man was an arsehole) - then....Sam woke up....in the future.....and then he....well he killed himself....didn't he?? Only to wake up exactly where he'd been before....just in time to shot the evil cop killer and save the day and get the girl (mini-squee)
But is that the time where he belongs?? Or is he in a permanent vegetative state?? Who knows - cos I sure as hell don't - especially not with that last radio message - unless that was meant to....oh god...my brain is just so much mush now *nods*
I must admit, I'm going to be hanging around on the edge of this fandom for a little while now - to see the reactions to this - but one thing I will definitely be doing in an effort to get a better idea of 'the truth' (is there actually a truth in Life on Mars - or is it all about what you want to see??) I shall be watching 'ashes to ashes' and they no doubt expect us all to do - and there most likely won't be an answer...even then *meep*
*giggles* but overall - despite the confusion and the murky clarity - I liked it - much - it was a whole different kind of series finale. *grins* And yeah - I really don't think this show can carry the same thing to an american version - it looks like it'll be another red dwarf. I mean how can you remake that?? And how can you do it - no offense - but how can you do that in an american version - I hate to say it - but like RD there is just something very British about Life on Mars....
