Another week

Mar 27, 2020 20:31

Well this week has been wild. On the upside we are into 'everyone stay home unless it's essential' though some people are still sturggling with that one...

I had to get my MOT done (three days out from the three month extension - I'm not driving much, once a week max for shopping, but MOT is a legal requirement and I needed a new tyre).

Two people I know died....not of coronavirus, making it more surreal. Nana was expected but the seen and chatted to on and off for years village postie was not :(

I hope things are good with all of you, and you're staying as safe as you can.

Annnnddddd onto non 'real' life - Picard

Welp. That didn't exactly provide a satisfactory ending.

Like, AI Tentacles are the mighty other coming to save the synths/eat organics??

Sutra is just, what dead via uncle/father/brother/mentor/who knows??

Narek just....walked off somewhere?

The ex-b's and the artefact are just staying on the planet?

The synth ban just....got lifted?

Oh and Picard and Data may have been a thing. Or they meant friend/family love? Like the end scene of Data was totally not friend family - that was like lover sitting by your bedside as you die.

And Raffi and Seven.

There's just so much...random??

Like why didn't Data get a new human like body?? The portal just closed?? The romulans just...left.

Starfleet just left.

Picard's body....got buried??

Doctor Soong totally just built himself a new body - it didn't cost him anything for Picard to get a new one.

DID ELNOR SEE SPOT ?!?! (not important but you know, I wanted to see that more than Picard....getting a shiny new body)

I honestly want more with LGBT if you're going to go there. People seem to be doubting that seven is despite the evil lady outright saying they were together. The whole Data&Picard thing was....interesting and the Seven and Raffi bit was just random (no interactions building to it or anything, which there was at least, vaguely, with Agnes and Chris)

I.....it wasn't horrifically terrible.

But it was not stunning either. There were a lot of lazy writing/story choices. And honestly, what happens next season??

I *throws hands up* Yeah.
