I promise no more politics related posts (unless things go epically tits up - currently it's just face palming and faint dread) - I have now officially been avoiding all the flailing going on as much as possible. I'll wait another week and then give things a poke and see if things have settled.

I wonder, as someone who collects coins (as encouraged by the Royal Mint and their collectors books, with the little slots that are a bugger to get the coins into) - if other countries have different things on their coins each year.
I was wondering this while celebrating getting my hands on the special Britannia £2 from last year (I don't do the ebay buying of them, I just keep an eye on the change I get given and the coins that pass through work). It is weird, I admit, to collect money, to not spend it.
I mean, we do have a default image, and it's only 50p, £1 and £2 (and the special higher coins you can only buy) that have different extra images for a set year.
I noticed that different states in the US have different thing on some coins, but I don't know if that changes? And there were different pictures on some canadian coins? I haven't noticed that the Euro varies?

There will be kitten pictures soon. Maybe even crazed kitten video, if I can figure out how to post that.
Good thoughts to all.
