I got Tru Davies (Tru Calling) & Claudia Donovan (Warehouse 13) in the crossover Roulette, which is awesome :) (I almost just wrote meta about how much they have in common, and how interesting they would be together, but it has been a while since my last Tru Calling watch...)

Warehouse 13/Tru Calling - no outright spoilers
Morgues, sadly, seemed to be one of those places that an agent of the warehouse could often find artefacts. Claudia was fairly sure that it had something to do with the fact that few artefacts, powerful ones at least, didn’t kill their user after a certain amount of time. It was weird, and really grim, and totally sucked all of the fun out of the whole concept of artefacts.
Sadly, there wasn’t really anyone that Claudia could fill a complaint about it with. She doubted that the regents would take it well if she tried.
“Focus Claudia.” She muttered, turning her attention back to her creepy surroundings. She was in the morgue for a reason, and she was alone because out of the two people Artie had sent them after, Ms Davies was the gentler. “Find death girl, get the artefact, go home.”
“Can I help you?” The question came from behind her, and Claudia jumped, turning quickly to face her potential attacker. The woman, older than Claudia, is pale and looks worn, but more importantly she matches the pictures of Tru Davies.
“Actually, I think I can help you.” Claudia offers her the best smile she can manage, given that she’s in a morgue after sunset, watching the way the other woman reacts.
Tru’s eyes narrow, and she crosses her arms over her stomach defensively, “I’m sorry, I’m not sure how you can help me, miss….”
“Claudia Donovan,” Claudia doesn’t bother to show one of her ID cards, they’d decided, given the nature of the effect of the artefacts in question, that the direct and honest approach would work the best. “You are Tru Davies, and you help dead people.”
Tru falters, just briefly, before she laughs, “If you mean I help look after dead people, you’re right, I’m a morgue attendant.” She shrugs, like Claudia’s made a common mistake.
Claudia raised an eyebrow, “Uh huh, right, look, you don’t have to play dumb. I really am here to help you. I know how it is that you can do the turn back day to help the dead thing. I also know that it has some rather epic downsides, one of which being the evil dude who works counter to you.”
Tru stared at her for a long moment, mouth drawn into a thin line, before she nodded to herself, “How do you know?”
“I work for people who have a whole load of experience with these kinds of things. They knew about your mom, but they weren’t able to help her in time.” Claudia hesitated for a moment before she went on, “I’m sorry, it sucks, but we’re here to help you now. I swear.”
Tru looked down, studying her hands for a moment, “How can you help me? And what about all the people I can save?”
Claudia chewed on her bottom lip, struggling for a good answer. She’d been there, she knew the choice she’d made and the cost. It didn’t seem fair that this woman had to fight to save people from a known fate. That that had become the main focus of her life. But, and it’s a huge but, Tru Davies had saved a whole lot of people.
“Look, I get it, you save people. So many people that it makes the times you fail, or that the help they wanted wasn’t being saved, a little easier, but we both know that you aren’t the only one in the game.” Claudia watched Tru, waited for the right moment to go on. “He’s been at it as long as you. This thing you can do, it only works when there’s balance, and that’s a hell of a thing. We can’t just stop him, it has to be both of you.”
Claudia met Tru’s gaze as the other woman looked up at her, and she knew that it was going to be a hard night.
