It has came to my attention that when I was a bit under the weather for a week, that
yet another Akatsuki member has shown up. Tobi. I have not spoken to him much in the past yet he seems ominous. He has the Sharingan eye yet I had thought that I killed each of the Uchiha clan...minus Sasuke

I haven't encountered him in person, no. But he seems.. 'unique'.
So not even you have any idea who he could be? Hmmm...

Hmmm...I feel that way as well. I did not spend much time with Tobi for he was not my partner, yet he seems familiar. He has an odd attitude about him...

-ponders- There was my grandfather...then long ago there was Uchiha Mandara...but around the time of my younger years, one named Uchiha Obito had gotten crushed by a boulder. As I recall, you were in his cell, were you not?

Yes, Obito was in my cell and as you can probably guess, the source of my left eye. If it weren't for him, I would've been the one crushed by that boulder.
