My Grandmother...
My Grandmother passed away this morning. She did it on her terms...not wanting to bother anyone. I already posted a bit about her life previously...mainly thoughts I wanted to remember. She was educated in a time and place when women were very rarely educated. She grew up in a life of privileged and then had to flee it when the Japanese and later the communists took over, but always presenting herself with poise (and instilling that in her children...) She and my grandfather lived in a small house in Taipei....she came to America and lived here for a number of years, getting her citizenship. She always told me that she never wanted to bother anyone...that she could get around on her own and do her own thing. I miss her already...thank you all for the prayers and wishes and *hugs* it means more to me than you can know.
