Rant, its whats for dinner...

Ok, time for another work exacerbated rant on life the universe and everything. Worked over 20 hours of overtime the past two weeks, and that was with taking a day and a half off for a sore back. Sonofabitch...I had to wait for 4 f*cking hours for the head honcho to review my info and get back to me for edits. It wouldn't have been so bad but I had been expecting a much shorter day, instead, a slide gets canceled and I get boned as two of mine are moved up in the lineup. Plus a sh*t storm between agencies with me and my boss stuck in the middle (foisted that one off on a co-worker) the demands for stuff good god, I want to blow something up, I want to send a hellfire missile into a small 3d world compound and kill terrorists...and god help me, I really do like my job. there is something almost hypnotic watching the sausage get made, there's something about the entrails I guess...its almost artistic.

The day started with me forgetting my car and house key's, getting locked out and having to call the wife to open the door...I couldn't remember a phone number to save my life today, I had work computer issues, walked for a mile to the 5 sided puzzle palace, and as I mentioned before, worked overtime till my ears bled. Got home late and the power was out, and spilled a hot slice of pizza on my hand. Hopefully karma is done with me...

Speaking of Karma (Carma), I almost got run off the road by a Hummer and a Infinity playing chicken where the hell is my rocket propelled grenade launcher when I really need it? Holy sh*t, if those two had crashed, I would have stopped my car, gotten out and laughed...

Been reading with interest about the health care rants that have been going on...so Democrats don't like when their town halls get disrupted, when protesters shout at them? Tough shit...We had to endure 8 f*cking years of Move-On, Code Pink and a half dozen other liberal progressive "grass roots" organizations funded by f*cking billionaires like Soros. Hmmm, protesting is an American right, 1st amendment and all...if I remember right, criticizing my government and the President is the patriotic thing to do. Obama didn't get a mandate to change health care, he got a f*cking mandate to FIX the DAMN ECONOMY...that's the reason he won (and the 90+% black vote) its the ECONOMY STUPID...lets see, giant deficit under Bush, plus TARP, plus Stimulus...add to that another Trillion dollars worth of health care?!?!? Did democrats seriously think that people wouldn't go HUH? Hmmm...maybe now isn't the time to dig deeper into debt...there aren't enough rich people in America to tax to get out of this hole. I didn't approve of Bush's deficit spending, i'm sure as hell not going to approve Obama's deficit spending on the liberal/progressive wish list to get us on the path of government controlled...well everything, from auto makers to how much a business can pay its employees. minimum wage is one thing, I can approve that, now you want to control the maximum wage also?!?!? Health care does need reform, its does need fixing, you'll get no argument from me on that, its not a perfect system or even a good one. But fix it in pieces, find what works now and enact it; you got 3 more years left, and truly, you'll probably get another 4 years since the Republican's can't stop fumbling around in the dark. But the worm will turn and Republican's will take back the White House or maybe congress...so think about that, think about what will happen if you use cloture...things look different when your on the other side. This is why I detest and fear one party control of government, the saving grace is the Blue Dogs, probably the modern version of Centrists since my own party obviously doesn't have one.

Good for Sotamayor, I congratulate her and its about time a Hispanic/Latina was nominated to the court...since she probably isn't going change the balance in the court, I have no problems...but a certain sadness in the way the confirmation process has gone. We will never nominate the "best judge" anymore...we will nominate the "politically acceptable judge" there is a certain sadness but oh well...on this of course, I blame the Democrats...they started the "Borking" and now its hard to stop.

I had more lined up, but distracting wife and pizza have pretty much lowered my rant meter so this is probably it...The summer is going to be interesting...I can't wait! :-)
