[Tails shuts off the com and jumps off his bed. He's put the arm in a sling to deal with the weight change better but...it wasn't helping.

And it seemed the only way to fix this was to make sure he got his chip out. Which was not something he wanted to do. He'd been putting it off for over a year now and...he wasn't in a hurry to change that.]

[He's not ignoring the second comment, but he's really worried and wants to make sure the emerald isn't spreading before he addresses it.

It's not spreading. I've kept it measured, I think it's just becoming a heavier substance.

[He sits on the bed and takes off the sling, the crystallized arm not covered by anything.]

So it's getting denser? That's not good either Tails. Are your sensors picking anything up from it?

[Knuckles looks like he wants to touch the exposed arm, but he doesn't....instead he sighs and looks at Tails.]

Tails why don't you want your chip out? I know the first week is nasty, but you've got Amy and Sonic, they'll look after you.

And so will I.

It's the only way I can think of to cure this...and don't you miss flying?
