10_FICS It was raining and the sound of rain hitting the tin roof of the warehouse was comforting for Max.
"Max, can you here me?" It was Mona. They had infiltrated the cleaners warehouse and Max was under strict instructions to shoot anything that moved.
"Loud and clear." He replied as he moved down the broken elevator shaft to the next level.
"Up ahead, two cleaners." Mona's voice was a warning in his ears.
"Got 'em!" He said, but his gun did most of the talking.
"On your right, one cleaner." Mona's eyes were his eyes.
"Right!" He said as he made short work of the lone cleaner.
"More cleaners, half a dozen up ahead." Max prepared himself and said nothing.
And then, as the fight raged on between the cleaners and the vigilante Mona took the opportunity to ask, "Max, I want to tell you something."
Max's response was short, the sound of gun fired making it harder to hear, "I'm a little busy Mona, can't it wait?"
Mona hoped like hell that it could.
