A few days later, the younger Morimoto brother found himself standing in front of Hey! Say! JUMP's dressing room. Instead of feeling nervous about what was to come, Shintaro felt overall ridiculous and he had the older juniors peeking around the corner to blame. Earlier that day, Hasshi had personally arranged his hair while both Taiga and Yuta made him wear a heart-printed shirt and Nozawa offered up Sanada's box of chocolates, because Sanada had let their anniversary slip through his mind.

As much as Shintaro liked hearts, he felt that Taiga's shirt was too girly and he didn't like the smell of the gel Hasshi had put in his hair.

Nonetheless, Shintaro swallowed his heart into place and knocked gently on the door.

A shuffling sound could be heard from inside before the door opened, revealing Chinen with his signature bright smile. His eyes brightened at the sight of the younger boy. "Hey Shintaro-kun! I like your hair. Do you want to come in?" Chinen asked, swinging the door wider.

"Ah, uh, no, I'm fine here." Shintaro stuttered out, feeling his blush come back. "But I just wanted to uh,--"

"If you're looking for your brother, he went to get snacks with Keito." Chinen informed him, happy to be a helping hand in locating the older Morimoto brother.

"N-No, it's not that, I just.. um," Shintaro started, suddenly forgetting the sweet words Hasshi had told him to say.

"Hm?" Chinen asked again, his head tilting to the side. Being patient, he waited a beat, but still Shintaro hadn't said anything. "Is something--"

"I like you, Chinen!" Shintaro bluntly exclaimed, feeling his heart beat faster when the confession left his lips. Hoping to hide his blush, he quickly bowed his head and lifted the box of chocolates up for Chinen. "I know I'm young, but I really like you, Chinen."

Somewhere behind them, Hasshi was pouting because Shintaro wasn't using Hasshi's long speech.

But with or without enticing words, Chinen seemed more than satisfied with Shintaro's confession when he looked up. But the worried expression didn't leave Shintaro until Chinen had wrapped his arms around the younger boy's shoulders and pulled him close.

"I like you, too, Shintaro." Chinen whispered into Shintaro's ear. He pretended not to notice the loud giggles around them as he placed a kiss on Shintaro's cheek.
