Dude, yes. I know I just told you this, but I wanted it for the record. Loved the first one, where McNulty feels like he and Stringer have gotten their revenge, and how he and Kima have such disdain for the kids who're trying so incompetently to fill such large shoes. Stringer was a worthy adversary, a man worth fighting, and McNulty is just the kind of guy who needs that kind of adversary and who will miss him because of it (and the books -- man, how much I loved Stringer in college! Figuring out the problems of supply and demand!)
and, like i said, thank you. :) i love how when somebody asks how mcnulty's doing about stringer, kima says, "woulda thought he was kin." which is so perfectly said.
thank you! i love, love, LOVE this show. and it doesn't often leave me wanting or missing much or feeling like there's a lot to fill in, no matter how slow its pace. but mcnulty was obsessed!
Yup, there's serious love on this end too. The Lady Friend and I have been trying to cram in all of the season 2 and 3 episodes via OnDemand during these past two weeks (we got hooked on season 1 on DVD two years ago).
We didn't manage to get everything watched or taped in time for the series premier this weekend, but that's okay because it gives us another excuse to finally plunk down the cash for the DVD sets.
OK, seriously, I had to restrain myself from friending you until the reveal. Though marvel's not really my world, we have way too much in common otherwise, I think!
Somewhere back in my memories is one more Wire story, if you're looking.
