That's right. I was here for almost half a year at one point then I went back to my own world for a while.

I guess I must have fallen back in here somehow.

Have you not heard of people returning with their memories of the City before?

I don't seem to remember a single thing of my last stay here, so yes, it does come as a bit of a surprise that others would.

Ahh... Well, that is an odd experience, I'll admit that. When I arrived for the first time I had a similar feeling since I'd apparently been here before also.

But yes, in some cases people return to the City with memories of it. The more common is that they have their memories cleared, however.

Have you got friends here, though? From your world, I mean.

Ah, I see. Relieving to hear I'm not the only one to lose my memory of the time before.

I do. Family, even.

Thomas Raith, nice to meet you ~

You're not, trust me. As I say, that's actually very common indeed. You'll get used to it, I'm sure. The best way is to try not to think on it too much and just continue as if it was your first time here. If friends you made in the City before come to speak with you it's strangely easy to pick up the friendships like a blank slate... Kinda unusual in many ways, but new friends are nothing to scoff at, right?

It's good to hear you have family here though, it should make settling easier and time pass better.

The pleasure is mine, Thomas. I'm Tsuzuki, Tsuzuki Asato. Is the City vastly different to the world you're used to?

I find it hard to The question is how much I can trust these new friends Yes, new friends are definitely appreciated ~

There are differences, especially when it comes to the curses, but it's not that strange a place. How about you?

Right! And there are some really lovely people in the City. Ah... of course there are some... not so lovely people too, but I'm sure you'll learn or be told about them during your stay.

The curses seem to be the hardest thing for people to adjust to considering they are so random in terms of when they occur and their nature but somehow we seem to cope. The other issue I find people have trouble handling is the undefined amount of time people can be kept here for.

As for me, I just sort of... take each day as it comes. Or I will be after coming back here.

I guess I can count myself lucky, then. The baddies from my world have found their way here just before me. Does spare me the learning.

That sounds like a enjoyable attitude ~

Sadly, it seems few of us can escape our enemies following us here. At least you've had experience in that area.

It seems to work in most cases! Keeping a smile on somehow makes things easier, I think.

Ah, they're not quite my enemies ~ I don't have any, I'm not involved in the kind of thing where you make enemies.

Doesn't it just?

Hmm... that must be lucky for some. I honestly do hope it remains that way for you while you're staying in the City, Thomas.
