i have a huge red steak on my arm.
ok. so i just was reading lots of entries. and finally got up the energy to make an update. because updates are... what is the word i want... some type of things for me. monumental. yes that is a good choice. updates are monumental. i have to do english type business. and i really dont want to. i wish you could type the noise that you make when you stick out your tongue and then blow it. it doesnt even have a name, does it? i feel better when there is a list.
so, this vacation.
1. december 23. we had a lovely chorus field trip. to sing for needy folk. in hospitals and centers and homes. it was kind and nice. then we saw the nutcracker. it was nice as well. and then i went home. and called my hockey coach and asked if it was ok if i didnt go to the stupid thing that i didnt want to go to. and she said it was. and i jumped for joy. and then went to elizas house. with a big ol' bag of presents. and it was superbly superb. and i love eliza, emily walsh, allison, and lily. and so we sat with muppets crazy christmas music on repeat for hours. it was obnoxious. only not at all. because it was beautiful. and i got a lovely shirt which perfectly described myself (it was a picture of a silly dinosaur) and panties and a BOOHBAH coloring book with crayons and a lovely crazyhippo and a red sox book and it was all so happy. and we watched little shop of horrors which is quite the depressing movie. except the guy is so adorable. if i were ashley, i would want to mother him. there was a long period of time sometime during the night when i sat on allison and looked at her face upside down and shrieked and laughed for 20 minutes. and BRRRRIAN FELLOWS!!!! (and his uncle kool-aid.) and also we trimmed the tree. but anyway. it was all pleasant and lovely. and lily had to leave. so early. like 9 something. sillyface. but the rest of us talked long into the night. and then slept and then it was december 24.
2. december 24. i had to be ripped from my nice (although quite cold because i didnt really have any covers) slumber. it was cruel. so then i left my favorites. and went home. and soon after i left for my crazy grandmothers. (on my mom's side.) (she is called granny.) and we drove 2.5 hours and spent most of the day at granny's house. it was quite the bore. but i had my woooonderful tamora pierce book. so i read that. and my grandmother took me to the knitting store. and i got nice lovely yarn. to knit. so that was exciting. then finally we left. and drove home. and we got home around 8. and then erica (my sisters friend) came. and we had a lovely cheerful christmas eve. including a disney sing-along. you know what i dont get? why so many people spell sing-along sing-a-long. because that just doesnt make sense. and then it was december 24, 9 pm eastern standard time. and i had a little dance. with myself. it was nice. because i love rent. i do. and we all wrote notes to santa. and erica kept ordering me to make her some hot chocolate but i never did. im sorry erica. and then finally we all went to bed. me and kate and erica in will's room. i dont know where will was. and for the second night in a row (i didnt realize it then that it was 2 nights in a row, but i do now) i had a very cold sleep. because i only had one blankie. so i was frozed. but it was a strange sleep. i had some weird dreams, but i dont remember them now. and then i woke up.
3. and it was december 25. christmas. whee. and we all went and opened presents. erica is a lucky bitchface. she got such nice presents. and we arent even her real family. so, i got lovely presents. both red sox dvds. only shh my brother actually got one of them but it counts for me. and erica gave me trouble! the game. pop-o-matic. and there were others. i dont remember what. but all quite lovely. and then we had breakfast. and then erica went home, and we all drove down to my grandmothers. (my dad's mom) (she is called nana.) only this was better than grannys because nana is not as crazy, and there were many cute small children there to play with. ily them. we had a lovely christmas dinner. just like always. it is the same every year. for thanksgiving too. it is the same. and so tasty. and there was nice desserts. and... it was quite pleasant. and then we went home and it was good.
4. and then it was december 26. i dont know what i did the whole day. ack. i hate it when i cant figure out what i did for an entire day. well. alas. and then it was night. and my cousin was supposed to come in from kansas city (in missouri, wtf) to providence at 11. so my father and i went out at about 9, and ah yes i remember it was a huge snowstorm, and we braved it to go pick her up. (her name is hanna.) and so it took us about 2 hours to get there and then the airport was closed. no one could go in or out because the runways were covered in snow. it was too bad. so my cousin's flight was deferred to baltimore. and she stayed in the airport all night and then the people from her flight got a new plane to providence in the morning.
5. december 27- and my mother picked her up. and so then hanna spent most of the day sleeping. and i read my tamora pierce book. because those books are AMAZING. and also i got the newest one for christmas and it made me so happy. i just finished it last night. and so that was another day wasted.
6. then it was tuesday (december 28). about half the vacation was already wasted. and hanna stayed until thursday. so in those 3 days we: saw shear madness- it was soo funny and good, saw spanglish- it was not very good, i thought it would be better, went to the jordans in reading and saw the polar express in 3D. and it was TOOOOOOTAL crrrrap. argh i hated it. it was so annoying. what a bad movie. dont see it. we also went to old sturbridge village which was very nice. i like that place. it was enjoyable. and then at like 6 am friday morning, she left.
7. friday/december 31/new years eve. i slept my usual late. and then got up. and walked around for a while. and then kate and i went shopping. and I WON 250 DOLLARS to old navy. it was brilliant. there was no confetti though. but all the workers were so excited. they were like "we have never had a winner before! this is so cool!" and it was. and i got a pretty shirt. and it was a very enjoyable shopping trip. and then i went home and emily rose came over. and we baked a new years cake. except our only cake flour was organic and whole wheat. so the cake was a bit sketch. and she gave me a new year's mix cd. there wasnt really much that was very new years about it. but it was a nice mix. and we had an enjoyable and lovely party. i like her so much. everyone should be best friends with emily rose. she is so agreeable. we had a lovely time.
8. then saturday emily rose left and i read my book for hours. it is the best. and then kates friends came over and had a gathering for a while. and then they left and i read my book for hours more. and then i finished it. and it was sad because i love that book. but good because it was amazing. and then i went to bed.
8. then today was hockey hockey. and now im leaving for more hockey. bye.

rachel: "what do you mean, i'm eating cheese."
10. i smell a bit stinky poo. because i have already had hockey 2 times today. that is a bit. 2 practices. and then at 2 i have a game. that is even a bit more. but games are so enjoyable.
